Sculptra® + Radiesse®

Collagen is one of the foundations of youthful-looking skin, providing structure, firmness, elasticity, and support. As we age, natural collagen production declines, contributing to skin laxity, volume loss, fine lines, and changes in facial contour.

At Louise Aesthetics, we offer Sculptra® and Radiesse®, two advanced collagen biostimulators designed to work with your body's natural regenerative processes. Rather than simply adding volume, these treatments encourage your skin to rebuild its own collagen and, with Radiesse, elastin and other key structural proteins—helping create results that develop naturally over time.

SCULPTRA®: Gradual Collagen Restoration

Sculptra is an injectable collagen stimulator made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Unlike traditional dermal fillers that primarily provide immediate volume, Sculptra works gradually by stimulating your body's own collagen production and helping restore the skin's underlying structure.

How It Works

Sculptra is injected into targeted areas where collagen loss and skin laxity are contributing to visible signs of aging. The PLLA microparticles stimulate fibroblasts—the cells responsible for producing collagen. As your body naturally processes the product, new collagen is gradually produced, helping restore structure, firmness, and skin quality.

What to Expect

Sculptra is designed for subtle, progressive rejuvenation rather than an immediate change in appearance. Your results develop gradually as your body produces new collagen.

A typical treatment plan consists of 2–3 sessions spaced several weeks apart, depending on your individual needs and treatment goals. Results may begin becoming noticeable around one month and continue to develop over the following months.

The result is a refreshed, firmer, more youthful appearance while maintaining your natural facial character.

Downtime

Most clients experience minimal downtime. Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, or small areas of firmness may occur after treatment. These effects generally improve over the following days.

Because Sculptra is a gradual treatment, you may look relatively unchanged immediately after treatment while the collagen-building process takes place.

Following treatment, your provider will give you specific aftercare instructions, including massage of the treated areas when appropriate. The manufacturer recommends the 5-5-5 massage technique following treatment.

RADIESSE®: Firm. Tighten. Regenerate.

Radiesse is a unique injectable biostimulator made with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It is designed to provide both immediate structural improvement and longer-term collagen stimulation.

Radiesse can help improve the appearance of facial contour, firmness, elasticity, and skin quality while encouraging your skin's natural regenerative processes.

How It Works

Radiesse works in two ways.

First, it can provide immediate correction and support. The gel carrier can create an initial improvement in volume, contour, and the appearance of wrinkles.

Then, it gets to work beneath the surface. The CaHA microspheres activate fibroblasts, encouraging your skin to produce collagen and elastin and helping strengthen the skin's underlying structure over time.

The result is skin that can appear firmer, tighter, smoother, and more defined as your body's regenerative response develops.

What to Expect

Radiesse is particularly versatile and can be customized based on your goals. Depending on the treatment approach, it may be used to enhance facial contour and definition, improve skin firmness and quality, or stimulate collagen across larger areas of the skin.

Unlike Sculptra, Radiesse can provide an immediate visible improvement while the longer-term collagen-building benefits continue to develop. Results may continue to improve over time and can last up to two years, depending on the individual and treatment area.

Hyperdiluted Radiesse

When appropriately diluted, Radiesse can be used as a skin-quality treatment rather than primarily for volumization. Hyperdiluted Radiesse allows the product to be distributed more broadly across areas where the goal is improved skin firmness, texture, elasticity, and overall quality.

This approach can be especially beautiful for areas with crepey or lax skin, such as the neck and décolleté, when clinically appropriate.

Downtime

Downtime is typically minimal. You may experience temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, or sensitivity at the injection sites. These effects generally resolve as the area heals.

We recommend avoiding strenuous activity and significant heat or sun exposure for approximately 24 hours after treatment and following your individualized aftercare instructions.

Which One Is Right for You?

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.

Sculptra may be ideal when your goal is gradual, natural-looking collagen restoration and overall facial rejuvenation.

Radiesse may be ideal when you want collagen stimulation combined with more immediate structural support, contour, firmness, or definition.

In some treatment plans, Sculptra and Radiesse may even complement other aesthetic treatments as part of a comprehensive full-face rejuvenation strategy.
